To catch a tax cheat

In the effort to crack down on tax evasion and tax fraud, many countries have banded together to exchange information, remove bank secrecy and work on cross-border enforcement initiatives.

But if they really want to get serious about tax fraud, they should treat their enforcement efforts as a business and pay for information about tax fraud, evasion and underpayments by corporations and wealthy individuals. The return on such an investment would make it well worth the cost.
